Personally, I’m an old-school kind of guy and would go either for Canon or Nikon, just because the great scalabilty: the number of lenses is huge and you will be able to easily upgrade to the next equipment if you really like it.

I’m strongly considering purchasing this camera with my tax refund money. This is a rather cheap DSLR with some pretty good features. I’ve looked at the pictures it takes and some are pretty impressive. What is your opinion? I’m new to DSLRs and this could be good for me as a beginner.
